What is Blomat model "D"
?
This is a jetting machine with tank for ladle and LF.
Material feeding is operated not by
mechanical feeder, but by fluidizing material and pressurizing inside a
tank. It accordingly becomes possible to feed, transport and jet large q'ty
of jetting material with less q'ty of gas.
Dry, small specific gravity,
and fine grain size materials are best recommended. Such as C powder, CaO
powder, etc.
Nevertheless, it is possible to jet materials of large
specific gravity if it is finer in grain size. Desingned features of BLOMAT
"D" are best realized when size of material is less than 100 mesh.
It
sometimes happens that such materials with finer grain size and extremely low
price (dust powder collected as by-products in making some other materials,
etc.) may cause bridging inside tank, in case of using "BLOMAT" E, but it
becomes easy to jet such materials without any difficulty by using "BLOMAT"
D.
Features of Blomat
"D"
It is possible to jet large q'ty of material
with less gas (air) q'ty. It is required for jetting for ladle to use less
q'ty of gas (air).
BLOMAT "D" is not equipped with mechanical
feeder. Therefore, the machine has less part for maintanance and is
mechanically simple. The wear parts are very little.
BLOMAT "D" is
suitable for jetting by means of water-cooling lance for EAF. It jets
materials with less air, which slows down the stream at nozzle end, so that it
is possible to jet materials into molten steel without disturbing jet stream of
O2.
BLOMAT "D" makes it possible to jet into EAF such fine materials as
to be otherwise easily bridged inside hoses.
Because it is possible to
jet materials underneath slang in case of jetting into ladle, yield rate becomes
higher and jetting gas makes stirring more
efficient.
